Croton Petra are low maintenance and need little water. Crotons enjoy bright areas. Place a Croton Petra in a brightly lit room or by a window. Water it once a week with approximately 3 cups of water. If using a decorative container with your Croton Petra, be sure that the new container is at least 2-inches wider than the current one. Always plant Croton Petras in containers with drainage holes at the bottom of the pot so that the excess water drains out. Do not let the Croton Petra sit in water, it will not grow well in very wet, saturated soil. The Croton Petra ships in a black grower pot that has holes at the bottom for good drainage. The Croton Petra is approximately 25”-30” tall when shipped. The height is measured from the bottom of the pot to the top of the plant. Croton Petras are typically slow growing plants depending on the care, placement and season. They thrive during the spring and summer months and can be fertilized with a fertilizer for potted plants, simply follow the instructions on the bag.
