  • Vintage Figurines, HomCo #1528, Toscany Harvest Boy & Girl with Grape Baskets,  Set of 2, Home Decor, Wine Room Decor, Mediterranean Traditional, Collectible, Italian Farmer Couple, "Vineyard Harvest", (Retired)
  • Vintage: 1970's - 1980's
  • Details:  This is a wonderful set of figurines, they look like Old World Italian grape farmers (Vignerons), carrying their bounty for the day.  We believe this set was called "Vineyard Harvest", but perhaps that is only how they are best known.  These are made of bisque porcelain, they have soft, muted colors: Olive Green, Yellow Purple and Orange.  Their baskets are loaded with purple grapes with large green leaves. They both retain the original HomCo foil stickers and are marked on the bottom with collection #1258.  These make great home decor, we love them as part of vignettes for Fall and Spring.  They are in perfect gift-giving condition.
  • Material:  Porcelain
  • Dimensions:  Boy: 8.0 inches Tall, 3.5 inches Wide (at its widest point)  Girl: 7.0 inches Tall, 3.5 inches Wide.
  • Condition:  Vintage - Used.  Excellent Condition.  There are no chips, cracks, or scratches.  Please review all pictures and make sure you love this item before purchasing, we can't accept returns.  Please remember these are VINTAGE and ANTIQUE items, they are NOT new, every effort has been made to show any scratches, wear and tear and imperfections.

HomCo (Home Interiors & Gifts), was founded by Mary C. Crowley in Carrollton, Texas on December 5, 1957.  Mary structured the company much like Mary Kay Cosmetics, Avon and others who had mostly women selling door to door and at home parties.  They purchased items mostly from Asian manufacturers like China, Taiwan, and the Philippines and distributed them through their distribution network. The company celebrated its 25th anniversary in 1983 and had grown sales to $400 million.  Sadly, Mary Crowley died of cancer in 1987, Don Carter, her second husband, became president and CEO and by the early 1990's the company had sales of over $850 million, with some 42,000 independent sales people.  In 1994 Don wanted to retire, the company was sold to the investment firm of Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst in a $1 billion leveraged buyout.  However, by April 29, 2008 they filed for bankruptcy.  After bankruptcy Home Interiors was bought by the owners and founders of Home & Garden Party.  In 2009 they merged the two companies renaming it Celebrating Home and it continues to operate from Home and Garden Party's headquarters in Marshall, TX.
